M&S Technologies, maker of computerized vision testing systems, announced that the Smart System® 20/20 is now being manufactured in the United States.

While the system has always been designed and developed in the U.S., it is now also proudly manufactured in Niles, Ill.

This not only allows for better long-term quality control of the hardware, but it insures complete serviceability and extends the lifecycle of the product.

The All-in-One 22” LCD and computer is built with precision using industrial-grade hardware. The system enables eye care professionals to perform a wide range of comprehensive vision tests including Contrast Sensitivity Testing, Low Vision Testing, Testing under Glare Conditions, eETDRS (electronic ETDRS) and Dynamic Fixation Disparity Testing.

All the tests and protocols on the Smart System 20/20 have been peer-reviewed and field tested for accuracy by key professionals and scientists in the industry, and the technology is certified and calibrated to the ANSI and ISO specifications for vision testing.

“Not only does manufacturing locally help provide jobs and grow the American economy, it gives us much better control over the quality and performance of the Smart System. We’re no longer beholden to the shifts and changes made by the big-box manufacturers,” said Joe Marino, president.
