OSU opens CL clinic for kidsFebruary 20, 2013
The Ohio State University College of Optometry announced the opening of the Kids Contact Lens Clinic, under the direction of Jeffrey J. Walline, O.D., Ph.D. The child-specific contact lens clinic is designed to provide a comfortable atmosphere for both parents and children as they consider contact lens wear.
Dr. Walline is a world-renowned expert on pediatric contact lens wear. His investigations span the knowledge of pediatric contact lens wear from the effects of contact lenses on self-esteem, to slowing of the progression of nearsightedness with contact lenses.
Only contact lens wear will be considered in the Kids Contact Lens Clinic. Children must first have a comprehensive eye exam by their primary eye care practitioners, with whom Dr. Walline will share results of his examination.
