CLCS seeks nominations for annual Luminary Award

The AOA CLCS is seeking nominations for its 2012 Luminary Award.  This award will be presented during the 2012 Optometry’s Meeting® at the CLCS State of the Industry Luncheon, Saturday, June 30 at noon. 

The CLCS Luminary Award is presented annually to an AOA CLCS member who is a distinguished clinical practitioner, has developed a contact lens practice and who tirelessly contributes to the development of others. Ideal candidates have demonstrated a long-standing contribution and shared knowledge with fellow practitioners for the betterment of contact lens practice and eye care.

Nominations should include:

  • A statement, not to exceed 500 words, indicating the primary reason(s) the nominee is deserving of the award; 
  • A brief biographical sketch or curriculum vitae (CV) and a digital photo of the individual; 
  • Supporting documentation such as letters, news clippings and/or other correspondence to assist the judges.

Nominations should be submitted no later than April 1, 2012, and should be mailed, emailed, or faxed to the AOA office:
