Letter from Terry Swinger, O.D., candidate for Missouri State Senate

February 16, 2012

Dear fellow optometrists:

As I prepare to file for the Missouri State Senate in February, I am reaching out to fellow optometrists nationwide for additional support.

The Good News:  This race is on our governor’s radar and I am receiving some of the best help in the state.

Contributions and encouragement provided by OD’s have already gone a long way in allowing us to meet our campaign’s fundraising goals up to this point, but with needing to raise $200,000 this quarter alone, we are asking other OD members of the American Optometric Association throughout the country to offer any support they might be able to provide.  Please visit our campaign website.

Thank you for all your support – Terry

About Dr. Terry Swinger:  Dr. Swinger has advanced the profession of optometry from Missouri for more than four decades.  His leadership on children’s vision issues and helping institute needed optometric governmental reforms is especially noteworthy.

  1. With the Democratic Party destroying this country I would like to know the party that Dr Swinger belongs to. Candidates will say they believe in conserative values but their values seem to be different than the conseratives that I know. What is his beliefs regarding obortion, the gay movement, marriage between two men or two women? These are some of the things I have not heard regarding Dr Swinger that I would like to know. I have no problem voting for a person in either party if they have my values.
